  • Jin Shin Jytsu
    Two Friday mornings per month
    Discover the ancient Japanese art that harmonizes and balances your energy and can lead to deep relaxation. 
  • NIA – The Joy of Movement
    Two Friday mornings and two Wednesday evenings per month
    NIA is a blending of dance, yoga, and martial arts whose motto is “through movement we find health”. No experience is necessary to enjoy this mind-body-spirit fitness practice. 
  • Qi Gong
    Every Thursday: 2 – 3 pm
    Qi Gong is a series of gentle exercises that promote healing, strengthen the immune system and increase energy and inner peace.  The form of Qi Gong that we offer is easy to learn.  It can be done in a group or alone, sitting, standing or lying down.  New and experienced students practice as a group, enjoy a brief meditation and relax. 
  • Relaxation/Visualization
    Daytime: Every Monday from 12 – 1 pm
    Evening: Once a month on the 2nd Wednesday from 7 – 8 pm
    Additional Evening location: Saint Peter’s Medical Center: Patient/Family Lounge, Oncology Floor, once a month on the 1st Wednesday from 6 – 7 pm.
    Practice relaxation and visualization, which have been shown to be effective in reducing pain, decreasing anxiety and boosting the immune system. Learn ways to balance your energy and increase your self-care techniques. 
  • Stretch to De-stress With Aromatherapy
    Every other Tuesday, 12 – 1 pm
    Release mind and body through gentle stretching and the use of essentials oils to relieve stress, pain, and help boost the immune system. All routines can be done from seated position. 
  • Stretch, Strengthen and Relax
    Mondays, Beginner: 1 – 2 pm
    Mondays, Intermediate 11 am – noon
    This one-hour class has three components that lead to overall well-being for the mind and body.  The class begins with gentle stretching, followed by strengthening, using your own body weight, and ends with deep relaxation.  The benefits are to reduce aches and pains, increase range of motion and flexibility, release stress and tension and develop a strong core. All exercises offer modifications to fit the individual’s needs. 
  • Guided Imagery
    Second Wednesday of each month 7 – 8 pm
    Guided imagery is a simple and effective tool which uses relaxation and mental visualization to improve mood and/or physical well-being. It can promote relaxation, reduce stress, improve mood, control high blood pressure, alleviate pain, boost the immune system, and lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Imagery can be used anywhere, anytime and by anyone. It helps to gives individuals a greater sense of empowerment, or control.

  • T’ai Chi Chih
    Wednesdays from 1 - 2 pm
    Experience joy through movement as we practice simple, fluid movements in the non-martial art T’ai Chi Chih, a moving meditation. Some reported benefits include stress reduction and greater energy. 
  • Wellness Workout
    Wednesdays at 10 am at Steeplechase Cancer Center
    Wednesdays at  6 pm at TWC/CNJ in Bedminster
    This program (which includes Wellness Plus) is for individuals of all ages and fitness levels and incorporates a variety of progressive exercises using resistance bands and floor exercises.  Benefits include improved muscular strength and tone, endurance and flexibility as well as increased energy, stress reduction and an overall sense of well-being.

    Participate in the Wellness Workout with the added bonus of a personalized fitness program.  Sign up for pre and post fitness assessments to get the most out of your workout.  You’ll challenge yourself with weekly goals and learn how to revise your workout to bring your fitness to a new level.  To participate, register for Wellness Workout and make an appointment for your pre-assessment tests. 
  • Yoga
    Tuesdays: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
    Wednesdays March 2 – May 25th: 10:30 am – 11:30 am
    This class is for anyone who is able to get up and down from an exercise mat on the floor.  Practice gentle yoga, giving your body the ability to release stress and tension.  Learn body awareness and breathing techniques to help you feel more refreshed and relaxed.
